New Construction or Remodeling with Structural changes

  1. Create a set of plans or draw out some rough dimensions of entire area that will be affected. Once you have completed this step, a member of our staff will be out to get the exact measurements.

  2. If the area is to contain appliances, select them at this point since they do have a major influence on the general room layout, cabinet selection and placement.

  3. The next step is to select the cabinet style that you would like in your new area. We suggest you browse our gallery of cabinet and door styles. There are four major styles to select from:
    • Regular Overlay
CabinetThese are often called traditional overlay. The door/drawer is set on top of the frame. This style is the most common and least costly. Hinges may be exposed or concealed.
    • Full Overlay
CabinetThe doors/drawers lay on top of the frame. The doors and drawers are made larger than normal as to almost cover the entire cabinet frame. Door and drawer edges almost touch each other. This is more costly than regular overlay. Hinges are concealed.
    • CabinetFlush Inset
Often called inset. The frame has a square edge (no bead) and the door/drawer is set into the cabinet frame opening.
    • Beaded Inset
CabinetThis cabinet frame style has a bead cut into the edge. The cabinet door/drawer is set into the frame opening. This is a complex design and therefore is the most time consuming and labor intensive treatment. This style is, therefore, more costly than a regular overlay or full overlay door. Almost any door style can be beaded inset.
  4. Select a door/drawer style for your cabinets. We suggest you browse our gallery of cabinet and door styles.
  5. Select detail items for your room.
  6. Determine the type of treatment you would like your cabinets to receive.
    • Stained Wood
If you wish your cabinets to be stained, you will need to determine the wood species you would like us to use. The next step would be to select a stain. We have staining boards available to assist you in your selection.

    • Painted Wood
If you wish your cabinets to be painted, you will need to determine the color that you would like us to use and decide if you would like it glazed.
  7. Select a countertop
We have many well known brand names to choose from including but not limited to Granite, Corian®, Formica®, SileStone® and many more. There are numerous samples available in our showroom to help you with your choice.
  8. At this point we will be able to create a basic footprint.
  9. Once all decisions are made a Final Rendering will be created. This consists of a full color layout of your project with your appliances, counters, floor and wall color/paper for your review.
